My name is Jessica.

I began writing The Legend of the Divided Heart one small step at a time—sometimes just a few sentences a day. I was thinking how to explain what True Love is and how to show that love is equal—regardless of gender, identity, appearance, or circumstance. 

​

The story began with a man and a woman. But then came a mistake—one that would change everything. From that mistake came a punishment, a journey to discover True Love, and the beginning of an evolution that transformed the story into a BL fantasy romance. It took a great deal of thought, imagination, and reflection to bring that vision to life. 

​

As the story grew, the characters, their struggles, their hopes, and their sacrifices stayed with me long after I put down my pen. Those few sentences each day slowly became pages, and those pages became an entire world that continued to grow within my imagination.

​

Today, this journey has become my first novel: over 500 pages, more than 40,000 words, and yet, to me, it is more than a book.

 

There were many nights when I could not sleep because the story would not leave my mind. While writing, I often felt as though I was living alongside the characters, sharing their journey and feeling compelled to continue discovering what would happen next.

​

Set in a world of celestial kingdoms, reincarnated souls, emotional healing, ancient promises, and timeless devotion, this slow-burn BL fantasy romance explores some of the deepest questions of the human heart:

Can broken souls learn to love again?
Can destiny survive human fear?
And if two people are given another chance across lifetimes…

would they still choose each other?

 

This is a story about the choices we make, the wounds we carry, the love we give, and the light we continue to seek even when surrounded by temptation and darkness.

Because true love is not about perfection.

It is not limited by religion, gender, identity, appearance, or circumstance.

Love is equal.

Love and identity are valid in all their forms.

 

More than anything, I hope readers will feel connected to these characters as though they are walking beside them—sharing their joys, their fears, their heartbreaks, and their triumphs. I hope they will continue turning the pages, eager to uncover the mysteries that lie ahead and discover the truth hidden within the divided heart.
