Jessica F. Regan began writing The Legend of the Divided Heart: A Soulmate Fantasy Romance Beyond Time one small step at a time—sometimes only a few sentences a day. At the heart of her vision was a desire to explore the meaning of True Love and the belief that love is equal, regardless of gender, identity, appearance, or circumstance.
 

The story originally began with a man and a woman, but a pivotal mistake changed its course entirely. What followed became a journey of redemption, self-discovery, and the search for True Love, ultimately transforming the story into a BL fantasy romance.
 

As Jessica continued writing, the world and its characters grew beyond her original ideas. They remained with her long after each writing session ended, gradually developing into celestial kingdoms, reincarnated souls, ancient promises, and bonds of devotion that transcend time and circumstance. What began with a few simple ideas eventually became her first novel—a story of love, sacrifice, destiny, healing, and hope.
